Nothing happened to anyone. I was saying, is it on the sea or on the air? But this is on the air. But it landed and they said, “Wow!” People began to take alternative entrances – take it. But nothing happened. Everybody was saved.”


Turbulence aboard Flight 128

On the 26th of July 2009 during the live Sunday service broadcast on Emmanuel TV, Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed the prophetic vision God had shown him concerning an event that would take place in a city in Florida, USA. These were his words:

“In Jesus’ name we pray. Pray for the city in Florida. I will not say more than that. What is going to happen? Just pray for the city.”

During the second service, that same Sunday 26th July 2009, Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke further concerning his vision.

“I said you should pray for the state, Florida. I repeat again. I reminded you in the morning. And I see people inside. They are about to move, but suddenly, the whole thing landed. Nothing happened to anyone. I was saying, is it on the sea or on the air? But this is on the air. But it landed and they said, “Wow!” People began to take alternative entrances – take it. But nothing happened. Everybody was saved.”

These were the words of the vision Prophet T.B. Joshua had received from God Almighty - and two weeks following these words, on Monday 3rd August, 2009, the vision was fulfilled when a Continental Airlines jet hit extreme turbulence and made an emergency landing in Miami, Florida.

The Boeing 767 had been travelling from Rio de Janeiro to Houston when it encountered trouble north of the Dominican Republic at about 0830 GMT. Passengers reported a sudden drop that threw some people against the roof. In what was later described by aviation experts as clear air turbulence, where the plane gets caught between air masses moving swiftly in different directions, passengers who weren't belted in went flying into the overhead compartments. Photos taken by a passenger showed overhead lighting compartments that had been cracked by the impact of passengers' heads; another photo showed the inside of an entire panel hanging down, the oxygen tanks inside exposed.

Passenger, Fabio Ottolini described his experience saying, "People can call it turbulence, they can call it anything they want," but to me the plane was just falling out of the sky."

The pilot declared an emergency and diverted to Miami, a city in the state of Florida, USA where the plane landed at 0535 local time (0935 GMT). Notice that the destination where Continental flight 128 was diverted to was Miami, a city in the state of Florida USA, the location mentioned by Prophet TBJ in the prophecy.

Airline catering lorries with hydraulic lifts were reportedly used by rescue crews to get those hurt off the plane as quickly as possible. These were indeed alternative entrances just as Prophet TB Joshua stated in the prophecy where he even demonstrated the movement of passing people out of the plane.

“But this is on the air. But it landed and they said, “Wow!” People began to take alternative entrances – take it. But nothing happened. Everybody was saved.  But it landed and they said, “Wow!” People began to take alternative entrances – take it.”

Of the 168 passengers and 11 crew members onboard Flight 128, only 30 passengers sustained injuries and all but one have now been released from hospital. According to ABC News, passengers on board Continental flight 128 called their survival a miracle. Truly, everybody was saved just as Prophet TB Joshua said.

We thank God for the divine vision T.B. Joshua saw – knowing that the opening of the eyes of our faith is the silencing of our fears. In life, we are often gripped by fear and panic when we cannot see beyond our immediate situation but as this prophetic revelation teaches us, the clearer sight we have of the power of Heaven, the less we fear the calamities of this earth.
