On Sunday 8th of November 2009, Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed a vision he had seen of an airplane landing on the sea. These were his words:
“In Jesus Christ’s name we pray. I have a message and we are going to pray and fast to see what the Lord will do. I saw a balloon and this balloon wanted to land. Instead of landing on the tarmac, it landed on the sea. Imagine a balloon that carries people – instead of going to the tarmac, maybe he was struggling where to land. It’s like the grace just carried the balloon and it landed. So, I will still give more details because the reason why I am saying it – it’s like, for the past two weeks, it’s like the whole thing is coming closer. I’ve been praying, ‘God protection, protection’. It’s coming closer. And seeing it on the sea, I never saw it inside the sea but it landed on the sea which is a wrong place. Protection - we are going to pray for and have one or two days of fasting for protection. Out of the colours on the balloon, the Lord showed me colours but I will not mention any colour here for now. Because through these colours, we can now trace where this balloon is - the country, the place. But I see the colour of the balloon. But we want to pray over the protection. If God says, ‘Say the colour of the balloon’, I will say it. I will tell you where, which balloon.
This is just what has happened over there. It is normal. There must be a prophet who can tell us what is yet to happen. When there is no prophet to tell us the things to come, definitely we are living in the dark. We keep praying and fasting on our own to remove those things but sometimes when we realise that it’s not possible, it must happen, we have to say it. What I am just telling you about the plane which I saw land on the sea and people were inside, for the past two weeks I have been praying over it that, ‘Lord, remove this’. Assuming this thing would not happen, I would not bother to say it. But when we realise there’s nothing we can do, but this is what we are seeing happen – wow. But we keep praying. I’m asking you now to join me in prayer. But all these things, it is possible to reduce it to zero or--- If the world knows that this man is saying something and the whole world joins him in prayer, we avert everything. We are going to avert it. He has said it. He said this, it happened. He said that, it happened. He said that, it happened. Oh, he has said it. Well, he has not said the exact country but we, let us prevent whatever. If the plane wants to move, okay check it, check it. We guide against error and mistake. Sometimes, it’s a mistake. But what I am saying now, like i said, I saw a balloon that wanted to land. It was supposed to land on the tarmac but landed on the sea which is not normal. When it landed on the sea, I now saw the fan--- People were--- I am praying to give more details and to see what--- Join me in prayer. So, we are going to have a day for prayer and fasting. May God guide us and protect us.”
At the close of the service on Sunday, November 8, 2009,PTBJ spoke further about the plane he saw landing on the sea. These were his words:
“In Jesus’ name we pray. Let us pray for protection, the protection for the balloon I said I saw land on the sea and people were inside. That is not the normal place. It’s like, it lost control. It’s like, something happened in the air. It’s like, he was looking for immediate landing. It’s like, he could not control this balloon again. So, let us pray for protection. This is what I have seen over there. And here we have not seen it happen. Now let us ask God, His favour and mercy. Protection over any balloon, in any nation, all over the world. Prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray.
I want you tomorrow - be in an attitude of fasting, prayer and use Psalm 91, Psalm 51. Fast tomorrow from morning as the Spirit directs. Tomorrow. Please, observe tomorrow purposely for the prayer for mercy, and favour and protection concerning any balloon. But we are monitoring the issue, praying, asking God for favour and mercy. Our Lord is God of mercy and favour. Glory be to God Almighty.”
On the night of Wednesday, 18th November 2009, a medical evacuation plane, CareFlight New South Wales, Australia, carrying a patient and four others from Samoa to Melbourne, was forced to make an emergency landing on the sea after three unsuccessful attempts to land on the tarmac.
“I saw a balloon that wanted to land. It was supposed to land on the tarmac but landed on the sea which is not normal.”
CAREFLIGHT WEBSITE REPORTED:
“After several unsuccessful approaches and with diminishing fuel, the pilot-in-command, Captain Dominic James, made the decision to carry out a controlled landing onto the water off the coast of Norfolk Island.
John Sharp, Chairman of Pel-Air Aviation said that he was very proud of the Captain and the First Officer. ‘They performed an intricate landing on water in darkness resulting in the evacuation of everyone safely and quickly. The training of both the Pel-Air and CareFlight crew came to the fore as everyone kept together and remained calm. Their professionalism stood out on the day and made a substantial difference to the outcome’.”
“That is not the normal place. It’s like it lost control. It’s like something happened in the air. It’s like he was looking for immediate landing. It’s like he could not control this balloon again. So, let us pray for protection.”
The pilot-in-command, Captain Dominic James, decided to make a controlled landing onto the sea off of Norfolk Island and the jet landed safely on the sea.
The plane landed two nautical miles from the island, completely surrounded by water. Only three of the passengers had life jackets and the others were forced to cling to them as the plane later sank and they were left treading water for one and a half hours, awaiting rescue.
“It’s like, for the past two weeks, it’s like the whole thing is coming closer. I’ve been praying, “God protection, protection”. It’s coming closer. Speaking on the incident, Pel-Air Aviation Chairman John Sharp said, “They executed what would have to be described as a perfect landing on water. They landed at night, approximately we think about 9:30pm local time and as a result of the skill of the pilots, the aircraft landed in the water and none of the passengers were injured.”
Prophet T.B. Joshua demonstrated the plane landing, by the grace of God, saying, “It’s like the grace just carried the balloon and it landed.”
Recall the description the prophet gave of the airplane involved:
“Out of the colours on the balloon, the Lord showed me colours but I will not mention any colour here for now. Because through these colours, we can now trace where this balloon is - the country, the place. But I see the colour of the balloon.”
The colours of the Care flight logo are blue and yellow – these were the colours revealed by God to Prophet T.B. Joshua and through which, the country of Australia can be traced just as the prophet said.

This particular trip was carrying a patient who needed medical monitoring during flight. We thank God for this prophetic revelation and the call to prayer for protection, which was made during the LIVE Sunday service at The SCOAN, broadcast worldwide on Emmanuel TV and recorded and carried by many national and international news media. In answer to these prayers, reports state that the woman’s condition did not appear to have worsened as a result of her time in the water. All other passengers onboard were saved as well.
As Prophet T.B. Joshua said during the prophetic message, “There must be a prophet who can tell us what is yet to happen. When there’s no prophecy to tell us the things to come, definitely we are in the dark”. One such media venue which helped to spread this prophetic vision and call for prayer was Nigeria’s Daily Champion, which carried the story on Wednesday, 11th November 2009, titled: T.B. Joshua Predicts Plane Crash.
God has indeed answered the prayers of His people.
