“I’m seeing a plane turn back but nothing happened to this plane. But they call it ‘Breaking News’. A plane turned back because of danger. Nothing happened. But it is a big country. One of the biggest countries. Which country? It starts from ‘A’. Nothing will happen. Everything will be successful but they will turn back. Glory be to God Almighty!”

The incident took place in one of the biggest countries in the world beginning with the letter A: America.

The Delta Airlines flight 237 which was diverted to land in Maine, USA.

The flight was diverted when a passenger claimed to have explosives on board but the plane landed safely and nothing happened just as the Prophet had said.

On Sunday 25th April 2010 during the second live service, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic revelation concerning a plane turning back because of danger, saying that it would be breaking news. He mentioned that this would happen in one of the world’s biggest countries beginning with the letter A. He also stated that nothing would happen. “I’m seeing a plane turn back but nothing happened to this plane. But they call it ‘Breaking News’. A plane turned back because of danger. Nothing happened. But it is a big country. One of the biggest countries. Which country? It starts from ‘A’. Nothing will happen. Everything will be successful but they will turn back. Glory be to God Almighty!”

Just two days after the prophecy was given, it happened. On Tuesday 27th April 2010, breaking news hit screens worldwide that a Delta Airline flight from Paris on its way to Atlanta in America was forced to divert to Maine due to a passenger claiming to have explosives in his luggage. Just as the prophet had said, news of the diverted plane was truly a breaking news story.

The plane, a Delta Air lines airbus A330 with 235 passengers and eight crew members bound for Atlanta made an emergency diversion to Bangor international airport in Maine. The plane was diverted due to claims of a passenger that he was in possession of explosives and a fake passport. Reports stated that the passenger concerned was Derek Stansberry, a US citizen and former member of US Airforce. He was subdued by US Federal Air Marshals onboard the flight who immediately intervened and instructions were made for the plane to divert. The plane turned back because of danger and landed safely. Nothing happened to the plane just as the Prophet T.B. Joshua had prophesied.

Because of the danger involved, the suspect Stansberry was apprehended and moved to the back of the plane while other passgengers were moved forward. The back pack and shoes belonging to Stansberry which he claimed held explosives were packed at the back of the plane and surrounded by passengers' pillows and blankets to lessen the force of a possible explosion. The claim made by passenger Derek Stansberry presented a real danger to the security of the passengers aboard the Delta flight.

"We were told there was some danger and some threats made, but beyond that we weren’t told anything else," said the passenger, Adithya Sastry. Sastry said a passenger sitting next to him told him that the "young man" who was apprehended was carrying a backpack.

When the diverted flight had landed, FBI agents boarded and helped remove the suspect, who was wearing handcuffs. The Transportation Security Administration said the passenger was being interviewed by law enforcement.

The American Delta airline flight was heading for a country and city beginning with the exact letter – the letter A, mentioned in the prophecy. America which starts with the letter ‘A’ is indeed one of the biggest countries in the world; it is ranked as one of the largest countries in area and world influence. The American airline ‘Delta’ which is, based in Atlanta, is also the world’s largest airline.

The Delta Air lines airbus A330 with 235 passengers and eight crew members bound for Atlanta made a successful diversion and landed safely in Maine. News reported that Federal officials met the aircraft at the Bangor airport. Stansberry and his luggage were searched but nothing suspicious or hazardous was found.  

NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, did not launch any military fighters in response to the flight, spokesman John Cornelio said. "By the time we were brought into the equation, the passenger was already under the control of air marshals”, Cornelio said. The flight landed safely and nothing happened. Everything was successful just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had prophesied.

We thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the prophetic revelation and for the mercy and favour of God which spoke for all who were aboard the Delta Airlines flight 273 as none were injured and no life was lost in this potentially dangerous incident. We pray for the country America that the Lord Jesus would continue to shelter them under the shadow of His divine protection as Prophet T.B. Joshua said, “Glory be to God Almighty!”
